About Me

About Me:

My name is Pat and I have found that chocolate rarely disappoints, but is usually constant in the pleasure it can give.

When I grew up in Maine, my family ate wonderful, home-cooked food, including chocolate creations. As a child, my mom let me prepare chocolate pastries, desserts, cakes, and fudge. As a result, I’ve loved chocolate all my life, and I’ve learned a great deal about chocolate and its many secrets and pleasures.

When I attended college in Boston, I developed good research skills and allied that talent to my passions, including learning more about chocolate. I also found I wasn’t alone in my love of chocolate. Whenever I talked about chocolate, people told me they loved it. It was a pleasurable experience for them just to talk about it and it rarely disappointed them.

One day, while I was talking on the phone with a friend of mine in the Bay Area of Northern California, she said she was having difficulty finding the right kind of chocolate to give as a gift. She wanted to get just the right chocolate for a friend of hers that had just moved to Chicago.

"Wouldn’t it be great if someone could create a chocolate web site where we could learn more about chocolate and maybe share ideas?" my friend asked me.

We began to throw out ideas on what such a web site would look like. We interrupted each other, laughed, and were breathless when we’d created our vision.

Then the exciting part. "You need to develop this web site," my friend said "And you need to use your writing, research, and community organizing skills to make it a social web site all about chocolate. That way people can have fun, just like we’ve had now, sharing how they feel and what they know about chocolate for an online community of chocolate lovers."

I told her I’d think about it. I know a lot about chocolate and have a real passion for it so I decided I could create such a website. That’s how Constant Chocolate was born.

Constant Chocolate is a place where we can learn more about chocolate, share our fun chocolate times, our reviews, exhibit our photos, tell our stories, share our recipes, recount our trips, find out about the latest chocolate news, participate in contests, and share anything else chocolate we enjoy doing.

Welcome to Constant Chocolate - your new chocolate site.
